Three generations of Chen Lijuan's family have been devoted to the silk-flower craft — her name 'Juan' (娟) rhymes with 'Juan' (绢, silk), carrying the family's hope that she would carry on the tradition. With the spirit of 'women can match men', she built the business from scratch, innovating on the family craft to develop nearly 100 product series and over 1,000 silk-flower varieties.
She leads the company in empowering rural women — incubating nearly 20 grassroots handicraft workshops and creating flexible employment for thousands of women across Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. Together with fellow village women, she has brought Wuqing's signature silk-flower craftsmanship to overseas markets in many countries and regions.
