The Shuangcun story begins in Caolizhen, Tianjin — the hometown of Chinese silk flowers, a craft with over 300 years of intangible cultural heritage. As early as the early Qing Dynasty, handmade velvet silk flowers from this region were presented as tribute to the imperial court. General Manager Chen Lijuan comes from a family of silk flower artisans — the character "Juan" (娟) in her name even echoes "silk" (绢). Starting from half a booth at the Yangzhou trade fair, she has grown the company to nearly 100 series, over 1,000 color varieties, and 23 independently developed patents.
